Benelux Chamber Visit to Taicang
Taicang is home to more German companies than most German cities, as well as a thriving selection of leading Benelux companies. Last week, the Benelux Chamber of Commerce travelled to Taicang to see this firsthand, at the invitation of member Taicang Industrial Investment Promotion, who invited the Chamber to attend the Jiangsu-Germany Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference.

The two-day visit began with the conference itself, followed that evening by the 21st Oktoberfest, where the delegation reconnected with Beijing board member Sasha Zhang. The second day included factory visits, a supply chain exchange session featuring keynote speeches from local companies, and a networking lunch.
The delegation also took the opportunity to visit MEMMINGER-IRO, the Taicang-based subsidiary of member Vandewiele, the Belgian textile machinery giant — a fitting stop given Taicang's long-standing ties with German industry.
The Benelux Chamber of Commerce would like to thank Taicang Industrial Investment Promotion for the invitation and for organising such an insightful programme, and looks forward to returning.
